Institute for Resource Efficiency and Energy Strategies (IREES)

The Institute for Resource Efficiency and Energy Strategies (IREES) is a scientific institute focussing on policy advice in the areas of climate protection and resource efficiency, in particular energy and material demand. We work on issues relating to decarbonisation in the building and industrial sectors. 

We promote sustainable construction by calculating the environmental and climate impact of the entire building stock as well as individual buildings over their life cycle and making policy recommendations.
